About Dayront

We believe your files should never leave your device. That's why we built Dayront — a complete suite of media tools that run entirely in your browser.

Our Story

Dayront started with a simple frustration. Every online converter wanted us to upload our files to some unknown server. A family video, a voice memo with sensitive information, a podcast draft — all of it would leave our computers and sit on someone else's hard drive. We didn't like that. And we figured you probably don't either.

In 2024, a small group of developers and privacy advocates got together and asked: what if we could bring powerful media processing tools directly to people's browsers? No uploads, no accounts, no tracking. Just open a website, drop your file, and get your result. All locally. All private.

The technology was ready. The same battle‑tested media engines that power the world's most popular apps could now run inside a browser. The pieces were there. We just had to put them together in a way that felt simple, fast, and trustworthy.

That's how Dayront was born. A tool built for everyone — journalists handling sensitive recordings, podcasters editing on the go, students working on projects, musicians tweaking audio files, and anyone who values their digital privacy.

How Dayront Works

When you use Dayront, everything happens right inside your browser. We harness a powerful, industry‑standard media processing engine that runs directly on your device — the same kind of technology used by the most trusted audio and video applications.

Here's what happens when you convert a file:

  1. You select your file — it stays in your computer's memory.
  2. The engine loads — a small, self‑contained module that runs without any server connection.
  3. Processing begins — the conversion or editing happens entirely within a secure, sandboxed environment in your browser tab.
  4. You download the result — the processed file is saved directly to your downloads folder. No copy ever leaves your device.

At no point during this process do we — or anyone else — have access to your files. The server only sends the initial website. After that, your browser takes over completely.

This also means Dayront works offline after the first visit. Once the core files are cached by your browser, you can use most tools without an internet connection. On a plane? In a remote area with spotty signal? Dayront keeps working.

Our Privacy Philosophy

We're not just saying 'your files are safe' because it sounds good. We designed the entire architecture around that promise. Dayront has no file storage, no user database, no analytics that track individual behavior, and no server‑side processing for media files.

Most 'free online tools' aren't really free — you pay with your data. Your uploaded files might be scanned for ad targeting, stored indefinitely, or even leaked in a data breach. We think that's unacceptable.

Dayront's business model is straightforward: we display a small number of privacy‑friendly ads that never block your conversion. You get free, unlimited tools. We get enough to cover hosting costs. No data collection, no selling of information, no creepy tracking across the web.

This commitment extends to our design choices. No sign‑up forms. No email collection. No cookies beyond what's strictly necessary for the theme and language preference you set. We built Dayront to be the tool we'd want to use ourselves — and we're pretty picky about privacy.

Who Uses Dayront?

Dayront serves a wide range of people around the world. Here are some of the communities we're proud to support:

  • Journalists & researchers — who handle sensitive audio and video material that can't be uploaded to third‑party servers.
  • Podcasters & content creators — who need quick, reliable conversions between formats while editing on the go.
  • Musicians & sound designers — who process samples, change tempos, or convert lossless files.
  • Students & educators — who work on multimedia projects without access to expensive software.
  • Privacy advocates & activists — who refuse to compromise their data for basic file processing.
  • People with limited internet — Dayront works offline after the first load and processes everything locally.

We're constantly inspired by the creative ways people use Dayront. From archiving family videos to preparing audio evidence for court, from creating sound effects to extracting music from old video files — Dayront helps people do more with their media, privately.

What's Next for Dayront?

We're far from done. Here's what we're working on:

  • Batch processing — convert multiple files at once, saving you time on large projects.
  • More video tools — trimming, cropping, and basic editing without leaving your browser.
  • More languages — we want Dayront to feel native to everyone, everywhere.
  • Improved accessibility — making sure Dayront works for people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other assistive technologies.
  • Desktop apps — a fully offline, installable version for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Everything we build will stay true to our core promise: your files never leave your device.

The Team

Dayront is built by a small, distributed team of developers, designers, and privacy advocates. We work remotely, believe that basic digital tools should be free and private, and we care deeply about an internet where you don't have to trade your privacy for convenience.

We contribute to open‑source projects, sponsor privacy‑focused initiatives, and try to set an example that good tools don't need to spy on you.
