Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?
It analyses the audio and chops out any stretch of silence longer than your minimum threshold. A tiny amount of the original silence is kept so phrases do not sound rushed.
What minimum silence should I use?
0.5 s works for most podcasts. Use 1.0 s for interviews, 0.3 s for energetic speech.
Will it cut out quiet words?
If a word is quieter than your threshold it might be trimmed. Lower the threshold to -50 dB if that happens.
How long should kept silence be?
0.1 s is nearly imperceptible. 0.3 s sounds more natural for interview edits.

Trim Dead Air from Podcasts and Interviews

Dead air is the biggest drag on podcast pacing. Every pause, every um, every breath stretches the runtime and tests listener patience. The Silence Remover automatically detects and removes those gaps while keeping your voice intact.

How It Works

The tool scans the audio for any stretch below your silence threshold. Anything longer than your minimum gets trimmed, replaced by a short kept silence so phrases don't mash together. The result sounds like a tighter, more professional edit.
